Montana is a land of wide-open spaces and the state’s natural beauty leaves visitors in awe. One of the main attractions is Yellowstone National Park which attracts visitors from all over the world. 1. Big Sky Resort

Big Sky Resort is a nearly 6,000-acre ski resort in the southwestern area of Montana near Bozeman. This resort is the largest ski resort in the US by region. The resort has seven terrain parks with different degrees of slope for skiing and snowboarding. Snowshoeing is also a popular activity. The full-service resort offers a variety of dining options, shopping opportunities, events, childcare, a gym and spa services. In addition, the resort provides conference space as well as space for organizing weddings and other events.


2. Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center

The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center is a non-profit organization that educates the public about grizzly bears and gray coyotes. The center is home to several ambassadors that the public can observe and learn about. The bears and wolves call the central house to live in a natural environment with waterfalls, pools and natural cabins where visitors can see the wolves from both sides.


3. Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center

The Lewis and Clark Interpreting Center is a 25,000 square foot exhibition space managed by the USDA Department of Forestry. The theater shows introductory videos, which are the perfect way to start your visit to the center. The indoor exhibits include an impressive two-story diorama depicting five waterfalls on the Missouri River. Several trails are located on and around the hotel. Many trails are accessible by wheelchairs and can be accessed independently or as part of a guided tour.


4. Museum of the Rockies, Montana

Rockies Museum is a museum in Bozeman that is particularly famous for its collections of paleontology. The museum displays the largest collection of dinosaurs in the country, including the largest skull of Tyrannosaurus found. In addition to dinosaurs, you will find exhibits related to the history and culture of the Rock Mountains area for over 500 million years. The museum is a subsidiary of the Smithsonian Institution, which has increased access to collections and programming. The Taylor Observatory at the Museum of the Rockies has advanced technology and brilliant displays. 5. C.M. Russell Museum

6. Little Bighorn Battlefield

Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument is a park preserving the location of the Battle of Little Bighorn, which took place on June 25-26, 1876. The park has two large monuments, including the Indian Monument. Degrees and the 7th Calvary Memorial. Each monument honors the lives lost on both sides of the battle respectively. 7. National Bison Range

The National Bison Range is a federally-owned Bison reserve established to conserve and protect Bison species in their natural environment. The center also includes exhibits and displays dedicated to the history and conservation of bison, as well as local and indigenous American history. The herd includes 350-500 bison as well as other wildlife, most clearly visible by driving one of the park's scenic driveways on a private vehicle. The park also has several short walking trails.


8. ZooMontana, Montana

ZooMontana is a wildlife park in Billings. The 70-acre park is the only zoo and botanical park in the state of Montana. It has nearly 100 animals from 58 different species living in its natural habitat. The zoo's main zoo focuses on wildlife originating from the Rocky Mountains, Montana and the northern climate. Some indoor exhibitions also raise animals from other parts of the world. Canyon Canyon flows through the middle of the zoo, adding to the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the park. In addition to the animal displays, the zoo includes the one-acre Sensory Garden, featuring exotic and native plants and is a popular venue for weddings and other events.


9. DanWalt Gardens, Montana

DanWalt Gardens is a collection of botanical gardens and garden screens in Billings. The gardens specialize in perennial crops, especially those that thrive in the northern climates of Billings, Montana. Corolla bloom in early summer and hibiscus blossom at the end of the year.


10. Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum

Tizer Botanic Gardens and Arboretum is a 6-acre botanical park with some beautiful and unique gardens. Gardens include vegetable gardens, rose gardens and herb gardens. During the spring and early summer, you can admire many wildflowers along a climb on the Children's Garden. The gift shop has a selection of souvenirs and snacks. The on-site nursery sells a wide selection of flowers, plants, herbs and vegetables as well as gardening items.
