1. The Plummer Building
The Plummer Building, opened in 1928, is now the iconic symbol of the Mayo Clinic and the National Historic Site. The building is named after Henry S. Plummer, M.D., who designed it and created the systems and procedures still in use at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Plummer expects the facility to be as efficient as well-functioning. The historic third floor of the building houses the offices of Dr. Charlie and Dr. Will Mayo. While patient care is handled in Gondo and Mayo buildings, among others, Plummer Building has academic, administrative and support functions.
2. Plummer House of the Arts
Dr. Mayo asked Dr. Plummer to join the Mayo Clinic staff in 1901 - a remarkable 35-year relationship. Eleven acres remain and is maintained by the Rochester Department of Parks and Recreation, which uses it as a tourist attraction and for receptions, weddings, meetings and classes. Tenants are entitled to use the grounds, such as official gardens, bird lines, quarries and water towers.
3. Quarry Hill Nature Center
Quarry Hill Nature Center offers visitors a place to observe a variety of live animals, birds and fish, plus a classified collection. It is home to 35 species of live animals native to Minnesota, plus exotic species, a giant aquarium with seven fish species and two predators. The vision is sharp, the hearing is very sensitive, the speed, flies quietly and crushes the claws that distinguish these birds. 4. Rochester Art Center

The Mayo family, in 1965, donated the house and ten acres to the Olmsted County Historical Society. In July 2013, the Mayowood building and the base title were moved to the Mayo Clinic, as voted and agreed by members of the Olmsted County Historical Society. 6. History Center of Olmsted County
The vision of Olmsted County Historical Center is to encourage historical exploration. In 1926, it was founded by Burton Eaton to collect, preserve and interpret the history of Olmsted County. Currently the center serves southeastern Minnesota and Olmsted County with programs, events, exhibitions, archives and a research center.
7. Primp Boutique
Primp Boutique is a unique, affordable shopping destination in Rochester, opened in 2010.
