Jammed most nights throughout the year, it's an unthreatening and lively place to walk around as bars compete for customers. With beer bars, go-go, live music, dining, market stalls, street performances, and international-standard nightclubs, there is something for most tastes.
2. Jungceylon
The two main stores in the complex are Robinson - a well-lit high-end department store and Big C supermarket. The 200-plus other stores in this shopping heaven sell brand-name clothes, spectacles, sunglasses, cosmetics and perfumes, shoes, DVDs, computer games, tons of mobile phones and accessories, electrical goods but it is also a great entertainment haven with a five-room SF Cinema and a 16-lane bowling alley, perfect for rainy days or to escape the heat of the day.
3. Simon Cabaret Show
Among the many big shows to see around Phuket, Simon Cabaret is considered by many to be the best. The plush theatre on the road leading towards Karon is home to nightly 70-minute performances of this remarkable extravaganza, featuring huge song and dance routines, comedy acts, sound-alikes and more, with influences from around the world.
A unique aspect of the family-friendly cabaret shows in Thailand is that each and every one of the dozens of performers is transsexual, though you would never be able to tell as they are all remarkably glamorous, particularly those at Simon Cabaret.
4. Freedom Beach
Freedom Beach is an exclusive gem on Phuket’s west coast; the 300m-long strip of white sand is set in a superb bay dotted with granite rocks and surrounded by hills covered by thick and luxuriant jungle.
Essentially, the exclusivity of Freedom Beach, comes from quite difficult accessibility, although today things are a little better. Apart from sunbathing, popular activities that can be enjoyed at Freedom Beach are beach soccer (two mini-goals are available), beach volleyball, and snorkeling.
There are no jet skis or other noisy marine leisure activities at Freedom Beach; the only audible engines are those of the long-tail boats bringing and taking away visitors.
5. Paradise Beach
Paradise Beach will surprise you. To begin with, it's beautiful beautifully; one of the most attractive of the many great beaches that Phuket has to offer. It also features safe swimming all year round.
It is compact and has great views right on Patong Bay. The beach itself is barely 150 meters long and there is another small beach next to it, reached by a path through the rocks. It is also the home of Phuket's only Koh Phangan-style beach party venue.

Choosing a place to get a massage in Patong seems like an almost impossible task, with the great number of options available. Surf House Patong Beach which is a vibrant surf center on Patong’s Beach Road, just over the road from the Immigration office and the famous sandy Patong Beach beyond. It is a fun ride facility where you can learn to surf in a safe and controlled environment.

Due to the speed of the water around you, this is a wild trip that can be enjoyed by all different experience levels. The surfing session here starts at 1,000 baht for an hour.
