If your date loves theater and music, you can catch a show in one of Toronto’s most popular playhouses. First, there’s the Theater Passe Muraille, an alternative theater that was founded in 1968. Its building was once used as a bakery and was renovated several times before it was recognized by the Toronto Historical Board as a historic building in 1977. Another option is the Factory Theater, founded in 1970. It was the first theater to make itself exclusively available for Canadian plays.

Every first Thursday of the month, the University of Toronto’s Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics conducts a free astro tour for the public. In case you come on a cloudy night, there’s no need to worry because you will still have a virtual sky tour at the dome. If you want to see the planetarium, register beforehand because it can only fit a maximum of 20 people.

7. Join a bacon tour

Instead of eating in one restaurant, why not take your loved one on a full culinary adventure? 8. Visit the cute pandas at Toronto Zoo

The zoo is always a fun choice for a date if you want to feel like kids again! Opened in 1974, Toronto Zoo spans 287 hectares (710 acres) and currently takes care of approximately 5,000 animals. The zoo has seven parts, representing different geographic regions. Of course, the highlight of the zoo is its cute and cuddly pandas, Jia Panpan, the male panda, and Jia Yueyue, the female panda. They can be visited from 9 am to 5:30 pm daily. Other things you will see at the zoo include the Waterside Theater and Splash Island.

10. Spend a day at a theme park

Canada’s Wonderland, the country’s most popular amusement park, offers entertainment for couples of all ages. Open daily from May to September and on weekends during April, October and November, it features a total of 16 rollercoasters, lots of midway games, and a waterpark called Splash Works. The park’s entry is called International Street, filled with souvenir shops, clothing stores, and restaurants. Tip: if you’re coming on Canada Day or over the Labor Day weekend, the park is one of the best places in the city to witness fireworks displays. They also celebrate other events here such as Oktoberfest and the Bacon Festival.
