1. CORSO VITTORIO EMANUELE (CONTRADA MAGGIORE)
When in Pordenone, I strongly recommend to signtisee Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Its atmosphere, old castle façade, town hall, cathedral, and its bell tower are simply worth a visit. Many nice shops too. Stroll around and enjoy one of the nicest old streets of the region.
2. SCIENCE CENTRE IMMAGINARIO SCIENTIFICO PORDENONE
Immaginario Scientifico's science center in Pordenone is a science museum to try, to play and to find out. A museum is a living place where visitors discover science through hands-on exhibits, multi projections, and Planetarium.
In addition, laboratories, workshops, nights at museums and special events help children and adults gain access to science and technology culture.
3. PARCO SAN VALENTINO
Beautiful even in the fall and only a 15-minute walk from the center of town. Great place for a walk or a run or to bring the kids. Good mix of modern amenities and local history. There is also a small cafe in the heart of the park.
4. GALLERIA HARRY BERTOIA
In the center of town, facing the Civil Museum, currently, until June 12 from Wednesday afternoon to Sunday, you can enjoy over 100 photos of Steve McCurry.
5. CAMPANILE DI SAN MARCO
The bell tower is one of the symbols of the city, built of bricks and white stone, with three-light windows at the top and a pointed roof. At 73 meters high, it allows you to enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city and surrounding area.
6. PALAZZO DEL COMUNE (MUNICIPIO)
An amazing place to visit! Beautiful and easy to find. Close to a beautiful river as well that I included in my visit.
7. DUOMO CONCATTEDRALE DI SAN MARCO DI PORDENONE
This is a simple but impressive piece of architecture located in the old part of town. It's kind of a reference point too as you can see it from most parts of the town. Try catching it on a late summer afternoon to appreciate how a simple combination of local architecture and nature can work up a magical spectacle.
8. MEDIATECA PORDENONE DI CINEMAZERO
Come here with your Italian friends looking for some kind of book. I like the organization and the interior. Unfortunately, I do not speak Italian, so I cannot use the media library for its purpose. But the choice here is huge, you can sit, read.
9. PARCO DEL SEMINARIO
We went there and ... what we didn't believe, we didn't find a common confusion between "marathon runners" - "ciacolanti mothers' group" - "dogs in ... free moving "-" regular retirement sitting on the bench - etc, etc.
Okay 'it's a day of the week' but comparing it to other parks visited, we can say without any denying that the location is really quiet and relaxing !! So if you like it, take advantage of it. . .
10. BIBLIOTECA CIVICA DI PORDENONE
The library is housed in a large complex developed around an elegant inner church, where there are film, theater and film screenings in the summer. In addition to many modern classrooms and computer services for consulting books and magazines, the library also has conference rooms and art galleries.
In addition, a bar serves in the internal monastery. Also convenient for parking big tickets on the back.
