1. Hotel Longchamps
As an ex-pat for most of my life, finding a gem like a hotel Longchamps is both nostalgic and fun. It’s the sort of place you go to if you want a local “press club” feel. Embassy personnel stays here etc.
Going to the lobby area on the ground floor may allow you to make a reservation, but once you reach the 5th floor, all is fine. I loved our room, the amazing breakfast, the friendly staff, and the super Hebba Bakri.
Instead of a big box hotel, you get a bit of old Cairo, and it made a difference. We walked throughout the area, feeling completely safe and absolutely enjoying staying. There are also free crackers and free water ..... It is hard to find good independent hotels, this is a gem.
2. Arabia Hotel
Muslim romance is a very good and nice, clean, nice view, scrumptious aria, lovely food, and good welcome from very good staff plus the owner. Recommended for anyone. Family mode with a safe place for children.
3. Talisman Hotel de Charme
If we go back to Cairo, we will probably return to Talisman. Everybody was really friendly, the rooms were spacious and lovingly decorated, and there were several rooms to relax and get a moment of quiet amidst the Cairo chaos.
The location is also good - it's not too far from the Egyptian museum, and as long as your room is not facing the main road, it will be quiet enough to sleep.
4. Havana Hotel Cairo
We have been at the Havana hotel several times in recent years and never hesitate to come back. Havana's staff and managers are among its strongest assets. Always super helpful, friendly and efficient.
In my opinion, the rooms and the bathroom are all above the standard for a 3-star hotel. Good restaurant and shisha bar on-site, licensed bar, and great coffee.
5. King Hotel
Nice hotel. The room is basic enough but adequate for what I need. The shower was excellent (im fussy on my showers). The location was very good. The staff was lovely especially Mohammed at the front desk.
He was exceptionally helpful. Not a luxury experience but that’s not what your paying for either. So I would recommend this hotel and I would return.
6. Horus House Hotel
Lovely hotel with British / French style. Rooms are well organized and clean and facilities except for the bath seem a bit unclean. But in general, it’s a great room and fair value for the money spent. Location is also quite convenient. I enjoy my stay there.
If they want to improve or attract more guests, perhaps the receptionist and manager may be more friendly or friendly. But that didn’t bother me too much.
7. City View Hotel
I had a night at this hotel in September 2019. The air conditioner is good and the single bed is a bit narrow compared to the North American or European standards. The food was acceptable but the city noise was a bit disturbing at night.
8. Osiris Hotel
Great place for the price. Super clean, friendly staff. The rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Location close to Tahir Square and the Egyptian museum. Roof terrace with great views. Can highly recommend for budget travel.
9. Cairo Khan Suites Hotel
The best thing about this hotel is the location, in the middle of everything in Egypt, The rooms are spacious and clean, the interior is a bit tired, but overall the room is quite good, the location is great but you will have a good time.
Difficult Find parking there if you have your own car, I stay two nights while on business trip, the room has a bedroom with 2 beds, a living area, a large bathroom with a bath, and a room Smaller bath, fridge, A / C, all in all, the hotel is very convenient.
10. Windsor Hotel Cairo
Many other reviews have expressed the same sentiment, which is that this charming hotel is like stepping back in time. Those reviews are all correct.
Greatness may be a little fuzzy, but it is nonetheless great. The old cave building is full of darkness and mystery. The rooms are lovely and interestingly furnished, but come with a suitable air-con. They're not particularly luxurious, but comfortable.
The hotel bar is otherworldly. The atmosphere is almost overpowering. The staff was unfailingly lovely and helpful. We met the owner who always said hello when we passed and this was indicative of the friendly atmosphere of the whole place.
Be warned, it is an old building which has seen better days. There can be slightly chaotic air occasionally. This is not a hotel or any other chain in the US. It is a rustic, authentic glorious, creaky, masterpiece.
