1. Embassy Inn

Breakfast was really good. Particularly useful are Avery and Scott and all the rest of the staff. Nice remodeled rooms and wonderful location! Even a view!! I will stay here again because it's so affordable.

2. James Bay Inn Hotel, Suites & Cottage

We just returned home after a long week at JBI and I couldn't be more satisfied with our vacation. We are warmly welcomed on Christmas day, and the receptionists are friendly and accommodating.

Yes, it's an old building with a few quirks, but that just added to its charm! It's nice to have coffee/tea/water in the lobby so we can interact with other guests (usually in pajamas!), And I appreciate all the historical paintings on the wall.

It feels like going back to a simpler time in history, and I love it. Being on the third floor, I also got a great workout every day going up and down the stairs!! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are interested in something a little different and can tolerate stairs since there is no elevator.

It is also within walking distance to many of Victoria's great areas - Dallas Road, Beacon Hill Park, The Empress, Fisherman's Wharf, and a 24-hour grocery store a few minutes away. We will definitely stay at the JBI again!

3. Royal Scot Hotel & Suites

Not much has changed here but it works because they keep clean, good service and great location. The size of the room is big and beautiful with an umbrella, bathrobe, microwave, coffee machine with a small fridge, dishes and cutlery.

The bathroom is on the smaller size but they have a tub with a shower. Our king size bed was very comfortable. They have a small on-site swimming pool with a hot tub as well as a game room downstairs with card games and table games. It is a dated asset but they hold it well and I think it reflects in the price structure.

4. Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites

We have visited this hotel a couple of times a year during the past decade. Its location is ideal for walking around Victoria and its many amenities. The service is excellent, the rooms are consistently well-maintained and the restaurants have high standards.

5. Huntingdon Manor Hotel

The beds were very comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from. The room was very clean and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful!

This location is great, very close to the Empress, Parliament buildings and B.C. Museum. Check the B.C. Ferry package for this hotel.

6. Best Western Plus Inner Harbour

The hotel is located close to everything. We are pedestrians so we walk to dining, attractions and entertainment options. We have room 503 opposite a small park. The room was clean and quiet.

There was a small “kitchen” with a bar fridge and microwave. A wonderful free breakfast was provided. We didn’t use any of the facilities as we enjoyed being out and about in Victoria. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
