1. Service Plus Inns & Suites Calgary
Always welcoming, clean, including a great breakfast. Swimming pool and fitness facility very well. Great price. We have been here many times before and will continue to do so when we visit Calgary. Great place for families and pets are welcome. In a great location near restaurants, shopping, casinos.
2. Sandman Hotel Calgary City Centre
Great hotel right in what I believe to be the center of the city center! It was very cold when I was there, I did not go out much (-26 Fahrenheit !!!). Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom is very little but clean.
I had access to the business executive conference room where they stocked juice, yogurt, bread, etc. and that was great. It was a way out of the way from my room but great to get a small snacking breakfast.
There were a tv and games to play in there too, as well as couches and chairs! I also believe the construction is going on at the hotel on the 4th floor but I don't bother me. Most of the pool area is small but nice and quite empty most of the time.
My one complaint is that I couldn’t figure out how to adjust the heat in the room. I set the temp up to 70 Fahrenheit (as I said, it was SO COLD there that my windows were radiating cold air).
It will only blow cool air all the time no matter what I do. I finally turned it off because it worked like a fan and made me feel even colder.
3. The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre
The conference we attended was well organized, the food was good and the staff in all parts of the hotel were very nice. The housekeeper made up my bed with my personal blanket in the bed which made me feel special and more comfortable.
4. Regency Suites Hotel Calgary
I stayed here for one night on business. We walk from the hotel to State & Main (only about 8 minutes walk) for a lovely steak dinner (see pic). Upon returning to the hotel, we found near the lobby a light / convenient area where you can buy items.
They even have ice cream for purchase, in case you have a sweet tooth. When in the suite, I was impressed with the size of the room! And all the amenities they have in the kitchen for you, including a Kuerig coffee pot, and wine glasses to dish towels.
Lots of closet space as well for those long stays. You’ll also find a safe to lock away any valuables. I found the bed to be very comfy, and the free breakfast in the morning was great.
For you bagel lovers, there is a toaster for your bagels and they do have cream cheese as well. There are also hot items like bacon, pancakes, eggs. Cereals, fruits, oatmeal, yogurt & hardboiled eggs.
Juice machine and tea & coffee. They also have coffee creamers in addition to regular cream & milk. The staff was super friendly & helpful. I was very pleased with my stay.
5. Lakeview Signature Inn - Calgary Airport
We had to stay overnight in Calgary for a connecting flight, so made a reservation here after reviewing other people's reviews.
The shuttle service was good. Check-in was fast, & the staff was very nice & informative. Good sized room with kitchen, seating area, and queen size bed. The bathroom had a bath/shower combo. The bed was really comfy. Breakfast was available & there were lots of choices.
6. Best Western Plus Port O'Call Hotel
Having been a frequent business traveler and now retired, I have to say that this is the Go-To Hotel when in Calgary on business or pleasure. I have used the Port O'Call since 1985 a few years after it was opened.
They have always kept up with the changes in lifestyles and the Hotel has been upgraded many times. You will love it for the amenities, easy access to many attractions, as well as great staff in all areas of the Hotel. See if I am right and try the Port O'Call out on your next visit to Calgary. GS.
7. Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Suites Calgary West
Greco wedding party. I helped the bride's father to take care of him every day like a quadrilateral. The family must carry a portable mechanical lift and an armchair. The room is large enough to install equipment and let me work with customers.
The bathroom did not accommodate the commode chair but there was more than enough room in the bedroom to place it. In the future, if another family is looking for this type of housing, then Four Points Sheraton Calgary West is highly recommended. Thank you, Deanna Cromwell,
