1. Imm Hotel Thaphae Chiang Mai
Stayed for 4 nights, 2 rooms. The rooms were bright, spacious and clean. In particular, I like how the complimentary water was packed in glass bottles, which reduced plastic waste. Friendly staff, easy check-in and out.
Located right across the gate, this hotel is walking distance to various night markets such as the weekend night markets and artisan market, warrior market and museums. Breakfast was simple but adequate variety.
Despite the above, noises from the reception area travel easily to our rooms. We could hear people talking at the reception loudly one night although our rooms were already not facing the lobby. I would also appreciate providing additional pillows in the room as the hotel's pillows were quite soft.
2. Nap in Chiangmai
Service very excellent the staff very friendly value for money and the place nearest to the night market. All you can buy or get over there. In the morning you can have a good breakfast nearest there but any far from the big shopping center.
3. BED Nimman Adults Only
We stayed 1/31-2/2. We were greeted by multiple friendly staff, offered water. The rooms were just the right size.

Cons/pros. All the employees were too “happy” and “friendly”. Thanks, staff for your great hospitality. I will definitely stay here again.
4. Kavil Guesthouse
The guest house is perfect, a great place to sleep. One or two blocks from everything. The owner has made great recommendations on the site and is very personal. Around people wonderful. Remember that this is a place to sleep and rest and hang on their porch. If you are looking for the tv to hang around in the room then this is not the place for you.
5. Golden Bell Hotel
Only 30 rooms, fresh and clean swimming pool. 5 years old but looks brand new. Super generous breakfast. I will return without hesitation! Warning: 100% no smoking but you can easily go in the little street...
6. Sakorn Residence & Hotel
I stayed here for 3 nights over the new year and it exceeded my expectations. I had to stay out of town due to booking last minute but can't say it bothered us much.
A 15-minute walk into the old town and outside is always Tuk Tuk that will take you for 100BT (£ 2.50).
The pool area is lovely and also quite empty. The rooms are really spacious with everything you need including a bathtub and shower. The staff was really friendly and helped us with a few reservations.
We had breakfast once when we were on tour and our tour guide arrived before our breakfast came, so the staff put it in a takeaway bag for us to eat on the bus - so sweet. Would recommend this hotel.
7. Star Hotel Chiang Mai
Great location! Very near the night bazaar. The room was spacious and has everything that you need for a good night’s rest. The price was affordable. Value for money! Breakfast was OK. Don’t expect a Super luxurious BF. Enough to fuel up your day!
8. Amora Resort Tapae Chiangmai
Great location; but it looks a bit high and as others have said, it is not a 4 star. They could not give me iron and simply suggested we use their dry cleaning service without help on the first night.
The room was lovely, nice view, clean and good size. The only problem I have is that the safe is not locked and so someone can take the whole safe very easily because it only weighs about 10kg.
The bath was slightly small but functional. The gym was tiny but not busy at all. The pool had shade in the afternoon, the water was too cold for us to swim but we relaxed and drank a cocktail. The pool service is excellent.
The breakfast is onsite, good for Thais and Westerners. Very interesting and peaceful with no large groups, mostly couples and families. We walked to most places including the night bazaar which was a 15min walk.
Couldn’t fault the location at all! There is a red cab in front every morning so when we want to visit the Doi Sethep temple, it's easy. 600baht for two and they waited for us.
9. 99 The Gallery Hotel
This hotel is located in a very convenient location with beautiful sights and surrounding temples.
In particular, I am a fan of tropical architecture, and this place is a clear example: high ceilings, classic furniture, exterior walkways, etc. The hotel staff was very kind. Definitively, a place to enjoy.
10. Napatra Hotel
This is the first time here and I like it. People are very kind, especially the maid is very polite and keeps the room very clean. The price is well worth spending the nights here. I will come back for sure.
