1. Delta Hotels Huntington Downtown
I am really satisfied with this hotel. First of all, the fitness center is awesome !!!! Those who are really really nice are good. More than once I went to the restaurant because of something small and they helped me out. Lovely place to be!
2. DoubleTree by Hilton Huntington
The only issue we had during our stay was they fell through on a wake-up call and never informed us that breakfast was 12$ a person. Cheaper-hotels offer the same items for breakfast for free. Overall though it was a very nice place. Will be happy to stay again.
3. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Beckley, WV
We stayed here because this was the midpoint of the trip to Bryson City NC. Our 91-year-old mother is traveling with us so we want two rooms close to each other, a king and a twin queen.
My husband and I were given a king's room (my only concern was a disabled room that we didn't like) and the room was huge. My mother was in the law room right next to her and she was happy with it.
The breakfast is especially good with lots of options. There is a beautiful indoor/outdoor pool that is very family-friendly. I think this is an excellent choice for families.
I will say that the decor in the rooms we occupied is a bit dated and worn but I saw a sign that the hotel is undergoing renovation and redecorating and I would suggest you ask for a renovated room. All the public areas were in great condition.
There is a large outdoor seating area in front of the main entrance. I thought it was a smoking area but there were a lot of people sitting there at 9 pm when we arrived, sharing a bottle of wine and having fun. It seems like a gracious use of the front space.
4. Wyndham Garden Cross Lanes Charleston
Perfect. We were surprised to see this hotel stay after a long day of driving. We enjoyed returning and staying a few nights, to enjoy everything this hotel has to offer at such great prices!
5. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charleston South, WV
Great location within walking distance of everything we want to see. Good restaurants, shopping, bars, and museums. You cannot beat this position.
The front desk has a capacity for fresh towels (one day our room doesn't have makeup) and extra coffee as needed. On-site parking (just outside our room) was a big reward for us. We would definitely recommend Country Inn & Suites.
6. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Princeton, WV
We always stop here on our way to and from Florida and look forward to staying there. The hotel is well kept, clean, and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is lovely and set out in a well-appointed room.
Coffee and a wide variety of tea, plus delicious cookies are readily available day or night.
We always get a good night's rest in their comfortable bed. We highly recommend this hotel!
7. Wingate by Wyndham Elkins
Needed a place to stay for daughters D&E meet. Booked in advance not knowing how convenient the location was. This hotel was super clean. The beds were a welcomed blessing after a long trip (absolutely amazingly comfortable beds).
The staff made you feel very welcome and we’re extremely hospitable. The breakfast is included, a great restaurant with superb food in the parking lot of the hotel and D&E is less than a mile. Couldn’t ask for a better hotel stay.
